The Communal State Institution «Tourist Information Center «Visit Shymkent» of the Department of Tourism, External Relations, and Creative Industry of the City of Shymkent (hereinafter referred to as the Center) was officially registered in November 2020 by order of the akim (mayor) of the city. The presentation of the Center, which was attended by the akim, took place on March 17, 2021.
The Center operates on a «one window» principle and covers the following areas:

1. Analysis of the tourism sector.
2. Development of the city's tourism image.
3. Collaboration with major tour operators and providing them with tourist routes.
4. The Center also organizes business events and works on attracting investments to the tourism industry.

The institution is located on the first floor of the building at Abai Avenue, 4B, Turan District, Shymkent. In addition to developing domestic tourism, the Center actively promotes Shymkent's tourist attractions in domestic and foreign markets. It provides tourists with information support, promotes and analyzes the region's marketing potential, organizes international events, and fosters the development of business tourism.Furthermore, the Center offers advisory services to residents and visitors, provides tourist maps, and distributes promotional information about events held in the city.
