ARTISTS OF SHYMKENT CITY MADE A CULTURAL TRIP TO THE CAPITAL OF THE STATE OF QATAR, THE CITY OF DOHA
On October 22, 2024, a group of delegations from the artists of Shymkent visited the city of Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar.
The purpose of the business trip is the solemn celebration of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 25 - Republic Day in Doha, as well as strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture and tourism.
Within the framework of the event, a concert program promoting traditional Kazakh art and spiritual values was presented with the participation of the dance ensemble "Yassy", pop singers Baglan Zholdasov, Botha Alimkhan and the ethnofolklor ensemble "Kagan".
In addition, the event was attended by ambassadors of 130 states and Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Jaslan Madiyev. Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of Kazakh handmade products, national costumes and dishes was organized, and special branded gifts from the cities of Almaty, Shymkent and Taraz were presented to the guests.

On October 24, 2024, the Department of Tourism, External Relations and Creative Industry of the city of Shymkent, together with the Creative Industry Association, held an exhibition of products from creative industry entities in the Tulip Hall concert hall as part of the celebration of the national holiday "Republic Day".
The exhibition was attended by 17 craftsmen of the city, who presented various jewelry, felt, knitted, leather, etc. products.
The main purpose of the exhibition was to support entrepreneurs of the creative industry in monetizing their products, the formation of creative products of the city of Shymkent and the popularization of handicrafts.
We remind you that to date, 2,430 creative industry entrepreneurs have been registered in the city. Of these, 540 are legal entities and 1,890 are individuals.
In order to develop and support handicrafts, the Akimat of Shymkent city holds exhibitions and fairs on a regular basis. This year, 10 fairs were held on Arbat pedestrian street with the participation of artisans of the city, at which 1,450 handmade products worth 2,780,000 tenge were sold.
Undoubtedly, such events contribute to the preservation of ancient types of crafts, support for the talents of young craftsmen and the development of the creative industry in the city of Shymkent.
